A New Year, a New Style for the Hyundai Tucson
Want to see the differences between the 2025 Hyundai Tucson vs. 2024 Tucson? Come to Pohanka Hyundai of Salisbury, and we’ll not only show you the key features and upgrades but also let you experience them firsthand with a test drive.
Just A Little Update on the Outside
You might have to look closely to see the differences between the 2025 Hyundai Tucson and the 2024 Tucson on the outside, but they are there. The wheels, grille, and front and rear bumpers all received a refresh. The grille has the most significant update, with a bolder design and fewer daytime running lights.
You might not see the longer rear wiper blade, but it grew by three inches, and the XRT model now has raised roof rails.
Still the Same Impressive Power
Power for the 2025 Tucson carries over from 2024. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine still churns out 187 horsepower and works with a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission. If you’re after some extra fuel efficiency, the Tucson is still available with a 231-horsepower hybrid setup and a plug-in hybrid with even more horsepower. Both of these come standard with all-wheel drive.
Is That a Dashboard or A Desktop?
The Tucson’s dashboard sees some of the most dramatic changes in the 2025 update. You can now get it with two 12.3-inch displays that sit under one piece of glass. The screen on the left sits in front of the driver, displaying the gauge cluster, and on the right, you have the infotainment system.
While the 2024 Tucson had a lot of touch controls for everything from the HVAC to the stereo, the 2025 changes back to some physical buttons and knobs for when you want to adjust the stereo volume or turn up the A/C.
A New (Better) Infotainment System
Change is inevitable when it comes to technology, and this is the case with Hyundai’s new infotainment system. It’s been updated in the 2025 Tucson with faster processing speeds and better graphics. The higher trim levels have now cut the cord on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making the wireless version standard no matter what trim you choose. The 2024 Tucson’s higher trim still had a wired version.
Other Tech Updates
The infotainment system is not the only tech that received improvements. There is now a fingerprint scanner on the dashboard, allowing you to start the Tucson with just a touch. This advanced feature adds a new level of convenience and security, making it easier than ever to access and start your vehicle without needing the smart key.
